Rittenhouse Trial: A Local Perspective
The case against Kyle Rittenhouse is over (he should not have been charged in the first place), but there are various bits of fallout that must be addressed.
First I do not think that anyone would disagree that the prosecutor, who was shady to say the least, and who pointed an AR-15 at the jury, should be prosecuting traffic cases come tomorrow. His actions were so off the wall one wonders if he was seeing the same case we were; but to point any kind of firearm at anyone all – with the finger in the trigger well is absolutely lunacy! I was a weapons specialist in the military and I can state without fear of contradiction, that anyone who knows anything about firearms at all knows that even if you watch someone clear a weapon and hand it to you – you clear it again yourself! To do anything less is looking for a disaster. This clown has to be sent to Traffic Court and maybe even have sanctions against him.
Second – Has anyone wondered why these guys who were shot were even there? These were not choir boys; these were violent felons with long rap sheets. OK, it is their right to protest PEACEFULLY, but such violent behavior on their part makes one wonder if they were possibly paid to be there and help create this violent riot. It is no secret that in past riots, the rioters were paid by – who knows – Antifa? BLM? I’ll bet they were paid to be there in Kenosha.
Third – The guy who had most of his bicep blown off testified that he pointed his pistol at Rittenhouse before he was shot. That went well for Rittenhouse at the trial, but did anyone think to ask – why did this felon have a gun in the first place? Felons aren’t supposed to have guns – will he been charged in this matter? Probably not.
Fourth – Perhaps, and I hope, that future rioters will pause to think that they might be shot and wonder if the money they are being paid to be there, if they are being paid, is worth getting killed over. Hopefully, this might cause rioters to think twice and stay away. It would be nice to think that, but it would be foolish to really think it will happen.
Fifth – And this is very important… I think we all remember that incident on the steps of the Lincoln Memorial with Nicholas Sandman and the guy beating a drum in his face. He was savaged in so much of the Lamestream media and when all was said and done, he successfully sued CNN and the Washington Post. There are still lawsuits pending against NBC, Gannett, ABC, CBS, the New York Times and Rolling Stone, according to news on the Internet. By the time the dust settles, Sandman will be a multi-millionaire many times over.
If Kyle Rittenhouse mounts successful lawsuits against all the Lamestream media who libeled him in print and slandered him verbally, and every one of the individuals who also slandered him during this trial, not only will be incredibly wealthy – but perhaps if these corporations and these individuals have to lay out huge sums of money for their lies and defamation – just maybe they will not be so quick to spout their lies, which they appear to do only for ratings and to forward their intent to divide and destroy the United States of America.
Maybe, if it can be shown that some of these people who slandered Rittenhouse have committed an actual crime, just maybe if they face possible jail time and have to shell out even more money for defense attorneys – maybe they will think twice before spouting off. We can only hope that the end result here is that certain people and the Lamestream media will get back to honest news reporting. OK, maybe not realistic on my part but what the heck – I still put out cookies and milk on Christmas eve for the fat guy in the red suit coming down my chimney with a bag full of goodies. Hmm, I don’t even have a chimney. Wonder how that’s gonna work out...
