Two Key Points

Open and transparent government is essential to our democracy. As a Florida House candidate, I know that Florida's citizens have both constitutional and statutory guarantees of access to government records and meetings. Access to this information is vital for citizens to exercise their political power.

I pledge to abide by the spirit and letter of Florida's longstanding Public Records and Open Meetings Laws, collectively known as our Sunshine Laws. It's really very simple: I uphold the citizens' constitutional right of access as established by the Florida Constitution. It's the law.

I also support fostering a plan for startup businesses within our district. This would help formation of high-tech startups instead of depending on a low-wage workforce in the fast-food industry.

Business Incubators can assist the formation of good paying jobs. Locations for incubators can be in empty stores in the abandoned mall and in the empty strip malls that dot Citrus and nearby counties. 

Business Incubators accelerate the growth and success of startup companies through an array of business support resources and services that includes physical space, capital, coaching, common services and networking connections.

Business incubation programs can be sponsored by the state and counties to help create and grow young businesses by providing them with necessary support and financial and technical services.

Business Incubators benefit owners of startup businesses by sharing their office and manufacturing space offered at below market rates.  Retired experts in business and professional staff supply advice and much needed expertise in developing business and marketing plans as well as helping to fund fledgling businesses.

Companies typically spend an average of two years in a business incubator, during which time they often share telephone, secretarial office, and production equipment expenses with other startup companies, in an effort to reduce everyone's overhead and operational costs. I will work full time to get Business Incubators within the district.

Hernando man gets visit from sheriff's office after email to Holly Davis

By John Labriola -  A 66-year-old Hernando man got a Thanksgiving-eve knock on his door from the sheriff's office after sending Citrus County Commissioner Holly Davis an email challenging her on her LGBT activism in strong terms. On Nov. 23, B. James Colantropo emailed Davis in response to her shocking remarks at the last county commission meeting, in which she appeared to advocate for homosexual grooming of children in the county libraries .  "Rest assured that the good people of this county will not stand by and let you get away with your leftist agenda," Colantropo wrote. He then added: "Count your days because they are numbered." The next morning, two sheriff's detectives showed up at Colantropo's door. Commissioner Holly Davis wants Citrus County to promote homosexuality to children

By John Labriola -  Citrus County Commissioner Holly Davis raised eyebrows at the Nov. 9 commission meeting when she declared that she wants our county libraries to be a place where children can access books promoting homosexuality as a positive lifestyle so they can feel at "peace" with becoming practicing homosexuals and/or pursuing transgenderism. (See video above.) Davis, a committed leftist, justified her heinous views by citing long-debunked claims that children are "born" homosexual. This propaganda myth pushed by the LGBT political movement has been thoroughly discredited by multiple scientific studies over the last 25 years.   What is true is that people engaged in LGBT lifestyles have much higher suicide rates than the general population.
